Marian Hossa didn't come here to lose to the Ducks

Western Conference Semifinals, Game 4
Red Wings 6-3 Ducks
**********

Filppula/Franzen/Hossa.

How insane was this line tonight?  They were literally on fire.  Flames were shooting from their backs.  Incredible.  Choppy sentences.

Jonathan Ericsson fucked up big time something like 4 seconds into the game.  You could call it a rookie mistake.  Even an offensive-minded Rafalski isn't as balls deep into the Anaheim zone as big E was.  But if it fazed him, you wouldn't have known it.  Later in the period he leads Fil with a pass through the neutral zone that he'll be telling his 7'4" grandchildren about.  Maybe it didn't look that extraordinary, but it was critical.

The Mule really doesn't give a shit how good Jonas Hiller is.  He's got four goals in four semifinal games.  One a spectacular deflection; the three others on pin point shooting.  He knows how to beat him.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, Tomas Kopecky was nearly murdered by Francois Beauchemin.  Let's gloss over that one.

Ozzie continues to be solid.  He got beat by a couple of blue line breakdowns and was strung out on a power play, nothing to complain about, really.

If time permits, we'll come back with more tomorrow.  This win felt damn good.  Choppy sentences.

I missed last night's game. You were damn close with your prediction. I will make a little prediction myself. Sunday in Hockeytown will be amazing. Let's go Red Vings.

I know right? When Niedermayer scored I was almost more pissed that he ruined my prediction than the fact that the Ducks scored.

I was more pissed the Niedermayer didn't break his wrist in the process of shooting.

Really, if some sort of mini-plague were to wash throught he Ducks' dressing room, sparing only Teemu Selanne, I wouldn't shed one tear.

I won't be watching the game till later--just couldn't settle my blood pressure and stomach enough to do it last night. My husband told me my Baby Boy (Filppula) did himself proud, though. Great to hear!
